Maddie & Peter
A Greek Orthodox ceremony, a journey to the Southern Highlands, and a wedding day designed to be experienced fully.

More than anything, this feels like a wedding built around people.
During our conversation, what stood out most wasn't a focus on trends, deliverables, or ticking boxes. It was the importance of family, memories, and creating a day that feels enjoyable from start to finish.
You spoke about wanting photography that feels natural rather than heavily posed, enough guidance to feel comfortable, but never so much that it takes you away from the experience of the day itself.
We also spent a lot of time talking about the flow of the day — from a Greek Orthodox ceremony in Liverpool, through to Retford Park and Bendooley Estate — and making sure there is enough time for portraits without sacrificing the chance to actually spend time with your guests.
The goal isn't simply beautiful photos and films. It's creating space for you to be fully present while everything unfolds naturally around you.
Our Take On The Day
A wedding with five distinct chapters, each deserving its own space.
The Morning
The day begins separately in Connells Point and Sylvania, surrounded by the people who know you best. These quieter moments often become some of the most meaningful — parents seeing you for the first time, final preparations, anticipation, and the atmosphere before everything begins.
The Ceremony
A Greek Orthodox ceremony carries its own rhythm and traditions. Rather than rushing from one event to the next, the day should allow space for the ceremony itself, family congratulations afterwards, and the moments that naturally unfold around them.
The Journey South
Moving from Liverpool to the Southern Highlands creates a natural transition in the day. The energy shifts, the pace slows down, and the focus moves from formalities to simply spending time together before arriving at the reception.
Retford Park & Bendooley
Retford Park offers a beautiful opportunity for portraits without feeling rushed, while Bendooley provides a second backdrop later in the day. Together they create variety without needing to spend hours away from your guests.
Chapter Five — The Celebration
One of the things we discussed was making sure you still get to enjoy cocktail hour. Rather than disappearing for photos all afternoon, the goal is to create enough portrait time to capture beautiful images while still arriving back to spend meaningful time with family and friends before the reception begins.
Photography Philosophy
Natural doesn't mean unplanned.
One of the biggest things we discussed was wanting photographs that feel natural rather than heavily posed. The reality is that the strongest wedding images usually sit somewhere in the middle.
Rather than constantly directing every moment, our approach is to create opportunities for genuine interaction. A little guidance when needed, then stepping back and allowing real moments to unfold naturally.
This is especially important for couples who don't spend every weekend in front of a camera. You don't need to know how to pose, where to stand, or what to do with your hands. That's our job.
The goal is simple: photographs that feel like you. Not a version of you performing for the camera.
Over Directing
Endless posing, forced smiles, and spending large portions of the wedding day turning moments into photoshoots.
Real Connection
Genuine interaction, movement, conversation, laughter, and creating enough space for moments to happen naturally.
Why Film Matters
The moments you don't realise you'll miss.
Long after the flowers are gone, the dress is packed away, and the timeline has faded from memory, there are certain things that become unexpectedly valuable.
The sound of your parents' voices. The laughter during speeches. The reactions you never saw because they happened on the other side of the room.
Photography freezes a moment in time. Film allows you to step back into it. To hear it, feel it, and experience it again years later in a way that still feels real.
That's why we approach wedding films as more than a highlight reel. The goal isn't simply to show what happened. It's to preserve how it felt.
The Feeling
A cinematic retelling of the day, crafted around the atmosphere, emotion, music and moments that matter most.
The Story
A longer-form edit that captures the journey of the day in a way that remains engaging, emotional and easy to revisit over time.
Some of the most valuable moments aren't planned.
A glance from a parent. A reaction during a speech. A conversation between family members. These are often the moments couples tell us they return to years later — not because they were staged, but because they were real.
Coverage Approach
Two approaches to the same day.
One of the biggest questions we discussed was whether a second team is actually necessary. The reality is that both approaches work — the difference simply comes down to how much of the day you want documented.
Neither option is right or wrong. Both allow us to capture the ceremony, portraits and reception beautifully. The main difference is how the morning unfolds and how much simultaneous coverage happens throughout the day.
One Team
A streamlined approach with one photographer and one videographer covering the full wedding day.
Two Teams
Separate photo and video teams covering both sides of the day simultaneously.
Our recommendation.
Based on everything we discussed, the Signature Collection feels like the most balanced fit. It provides full photo and film coverage of the day while keeping the experience simple and relaxed. The Complete Experience becomes worthwhile when preserving both sides of the morning and having the most comprehensive coverage possible is the priority.

Signature feels like the most balanced fit.
Based on everything we discussed, the Signature Collection gives you the right balance of photography, film, structure and flexibility without making the day feel overworked.
It allows us to cover the full flow of the wedding, from the morning preparations through to the Greek Orthodox ceremony, the journey to Bowral, portraits at Retford Park and Bendooley, then the reception through to the evening.
It also gives you the pre-wedding session, which is useful for exactly what we spoke about, making the camera feel more natural before the wedding day arrives.
If you decide you want the most complete record of both sides of the morning, the Complete Experience is there. If you decide film is the priority and photography sits elsewhere, the Film Collection gives you that path too.
The recommendation is not about more coverage.
It is about choosing the structure that lets the day move naturally while still preserving the parts you will want to come back to later.
See The Work
A few examples that align closely with what we discussed.
During our conversation, we spent time talking about natural photography, meaningful storytelling and creating something that still feels valuable years from now. These examples are a good reflection of that approach.
A Full Wedding Story
During our conversation, we spoke about wanting something that feels engaging to revisit years later. The Episode Film sits between a highlight film and a full documentary, combining storytelling, dialogue and the key moments of the day into a film that's emotional, easy to watch and built to be rewatched.
Marrickville Greek Church & Bendooley Estate
A wedding that follows a very similar flow to what we discussed — a Greek Orthodox ceremony in Sydney followed by a reception at Bendooley Estate. It's a great example of how the ceremony traditions, travel south and celebration at The Stables can come together naturally throughout the day.
Greek Orthodox Wedding Photography
One of the things we spoke about was wanting photography that feels natural and relaxed rather than heavily posed. These galleries showcase complete wedding days at both Marrickville and Liverpool Greek Orthodox Churches, giving you a closer look at our approach to ceremonies, family portraits and the moments in between.
The goal isn't to recreate someone else's wedding.
These examples simply give you a feel for how we approach storytelling, photography and film. The best work always comes from building coverage around your day rather than following a formula.
Ready When You Are
Take some time to review everything together.
Whether you choose the Film Collection, Signature Collection or Complete Experience, the most important thing is choosing the coverage that feels right for your day.
