Mina&Rachel
Three ways to shape your coverage — built around what you told me on the phone, not around a template.
- St Mary & St Mina · Bexley
- Monte Cristo Lumière · Sylvania
- 350–370 Guests
Where we landed
What you actually asked for
Rather than send you another list of inclusions, I’ve written down what came out of our call — because that’s what the three options further down are built from.
-
Nothing rushed
You said it plainly — you want to enjoy the photoshoot, not survive it. With a 12:30 ceremony there’s room for exactly that. I’ll build the run sheet so you get a genuine hour and a half at the location, with time either side of it.
-
Somewhere no one has been
You didn’t just like Rebecca’s location — you liked that nobody had shot it before. That’s the real brief, and it’s a harder one than “old buildings”. Cool architecture, old‑school over modern, a wet‑weather answer built in, and somewhere that isn’t already in everyone else’s gallery. Finding that is my job, not yours — and it’s the part of this I enjoy most.
-
The morning matters
You called it your favourite part of the day. So the morning preparations go into the long‑form film in every option below — that wasn’t in your sister’s film, and it’s the one thing I wouldn’t let you cut.
-
Less weight on the dancing
You told me you’re not fussed about long dance brackets. That’s genuinely useful — it means the film can come down in length without losing a single thing you care about, and the saving goes straight into the price.
You’ve already watched us work a full day from a metre away, as Maid of Honour. There isn’t much I can tell you about how we operate that you haven’t already seen for yourself.
Also noted and locked in: no same‑day edit, no drone, and Mina’s preference for some dialogue woven through the highlight film — we’ll shape exactly how much of that at the creative planning session.
The shape of it
Planned flow of the day
Working timings only — we’ll refine these together once the church and the venues confirm. Both teams start at 9:30 in every option below.
-
9:30 – 11:00 am
Groom Preparations Bankstown area — Airbnb to be confirmed
-

Bride Preparations Bankstown area — Airbnb to be confirmed
-
12:30 – 2:30 pm

-
3:00 – 4:30 pm
Photoshoot Location to be chosen together — somewhere cool and different, with a wet‑weather option held in reserve
-
6:00 – 11:30 pm
Reception Monte Cristo Lumière at Doltone House, Sylvania
A 12:30 ceremony is the right call for an August wedding. Any later and the photoshoot starts losing daylight — and that’s the one part of the day you told me you don’t want compressed. Holding 12:30 is what gives us the full ninety minutes on location with room either side of it.
The one real decision
Where the second team earns its place
This is the only thing that changes between the three options below. The photographs, the films, the raw footage — all identical. What moves is how long a second photographer and videographer stay, and I’d rather explain that properly than let you guess at it.
-
01
The morning isn’t negotiable
Two full teams from 9:30 in every option. Two preparations running at the same time in two locations — there is no version of this day where one team covers both of them properly, so I haven’t offered you one.
-
02
The church, then the entrances
At the ceremony you have both teams, in every option. One locked on the altar and the ritual from start to finish; the other free to move — the wide frames, the crowning, your families’ faces, the creative shots you’ll never notice being taken. Two hours of Coptic ceremony earns that, and I wouldn’t cover it any other way.
The reception entrances are the second moment worth a full crew — an angle from behind as you walk into the room, everyone turning to look, while the first team holds the floor ahead of you. That one is the difference between Option One and Option Two.
-
03
Speeches don’t need four people
With one videographer I’m still running two locked‑off angles plus a camera in my hands. Monte Cristo Lumière is a straightforward room to shoot — no awkward corners to fight. You lose nothing here, which is exactly why I’m not charging you for it.
I’d rather pull a team out where they add nothing than leave them in and hand you the bill for it.
Your options
Three ways to do this
Every price below already has your referral rate applied. Nothing has gone up from the quote you’ve already seen — Option Three is that quote, unchanged. The other two are the two honest ways of bringing it down.
-
One · The Essentials
Second team through to the end of the photoshoot. The leanest version that still covers both mornings properly.
$10,700 $9,630 Referral rate applied- Team 1 — Photographer + Videographer, 9:30 am to 11:00 pm
- Team 2 — Photographer + Videographer, 9:30 am to approx. 5:00 pm
- Full wedding photo collection, colour and black & white
- Sneak peek photo gallery, 20–30 images
- Sneak peek teaser film, vertical and horizontal
- Pre‑wedding photo session
- 5‑minute highlight film
- Documentary film — approx. 2 hours, morning preparations included
- All RAW photo and video footage on your hard drive
- No second team for the reception entrances
This is Rebecca’s coverage structure with the morning added to the film. It’s the closest I can honestly get to that number.

How we think about it
You experience your wedding three times
Once in the planning, once on the day, and then for the rest of your lives. Most studios only turn up for the middle one.
-
Before
The planning
A detailed questionnaire, then a creative planning session where we settle the things that actually shape the work — the photographic style you’re drawn to, the music, the pace of the edit, and how much dialogue sits under it. That last one is Mina’s call as much as yours. Then a run sheet built so the day has room in it.
-
The Day
The living of it
Natural, quick, and managed — so you’re not being directed through your own wedding. Family photographs handled without a scrum. The church protocol understood before we walk in, not worked out on the spot. And the photoshoot given the time you asked for.
-
For Life
The returning to it
The gallery, the highlight film, the long‑form documentary, and every raw frame on a drive that lives in your house. Not a curated selection of what we thought mattered — the lot, including the frames that didn’t make the cut.
Some moments only reveal their value with time.
Not because the years decide what was precious — but because they show you what always was. Which is the whole argument for keeping everything, rather than only what looked important on the day.In every option
What you get either way
None of this changes with the price. Whichever option you land on, all of the following is included.
-
The full photo collection
No cap on how many photographs we take. Typically 1,600–2,000 finished images, delivered in colour and in black & white through a private online gallery with full download and sharing — the same gallery you’ve already been through from Rebecca’s wedding.
-
Sneak peeks, both kinds
20–30 preview photographs, and a 45–60 second teaser film in vertical and horizontal. Both within a fortnight of the wedding, while everyone still wants to see them.
-
Pre‑wedding session
Not a posing exercise. It’s time in front of a camera together before the wedding, so that on the day none of it feels new. You’re getting this in every option regardless.
-
Every raw frame
Supply a hard drive and you get the lot on it — all edited photographs, all raw photographs, both finished films, and every raw video file from every camera. Not a selection of the raw. All of it.
-
Clean audio
The priest is miked at the ceremony, and we connect directly to the in‑house system for the speeches. Whatever else changes between these options, that doesn’t.
-
Me, on the day
I’m free on the 1st of August, and I’ll be shooting your wedding personally — through to the end of the reception, in all three options.
The only thing that moves between the three options is how long a second photographer and videographer stay, and how long the documentary film runs. Everything on this page stays put.
Next
Where to from here
Go through it with Mina, then just reply and tell me which option feels right — a text is fine. I’ll update your quote to match and send it through. Your date is held in the meantime.
- Send me the photographs you’re vibing with. Anything at all — screenshots, saved posts, your sister’s gallery. The more I see of what you’re drawn to, the sharper the creative planning session gets.
- Leave the location with me. Cool architecture, old‑school, somewhere that isn’t already in everybody else’s gallery. I’ll come back to you with it.
- Ask me anything about the day itself. Run sheet, other vendors, timings, what the church will and won’t allow. Twenty years of it, and it’s included whether you book or not.
Looking forward to it — John
