Lorenzo
Lorenzo’s day, in your words
What you asked for was clear: full coverage of Lorenzo’s christening — the morning, the whole service and the full reception — and, just as importantly, a team who understands a Macedonian Orthodox baptism and knows where to be before each moment happens.
That’s us. John is Greek, and we’ve filmed and photographed Macedonian Orthodox christenings — we know the shape of the service and its traditions, so nothing is chased or missed. And what you described is a full record: the service in full, and the reception at real length — the dancing, the speeches, the cake.
The whole service
The moment at the font, the anointing, Lorenzo in the arms of his godparents — the heart of the day, captured in full across both photo and film.
A team who knows the tradition
We’ve covered Macedonian Orthodox baptisms before. We know the order of the service and when each part comes, so we’re already in position — never scrambling to catch up.
The full reception
The entrance, the dancing, the speeches and the cake at Panorama House — the whole celebration kept at real length, not trimmed to a few clips.
One record, two ways
A photographer and a videographer working as one team across the full nine hours — a gallery of photographs and the films, from the same day, told together.
Flow of the day
Here’s the day as it stands today — morning at home, the service, then the reception. We refine the exact timings together closer to the day so nothing feels rushed.
Preparations
The Baptism Service
Reception
Final timings and any morning traditions are confirmed together as we get closer to the day.
One team, the whole day
Nine hours, one photographer and one videographer moving together — from the morning at Kanahooka, through the service at Sv. Petka, to the end of the reception at Panorama House. Present for every part of it, and out of the way the whole time.
At the church
Because we know how a Macedonian Orthodox baptism runs, we’re positioned for the moments that matter — the font, the anointing, and Lorenzo with his godparents — rather than reacting to them.
At the reception
The grand entrance, the dancing, the speeches and the cake — the celebration covered end to end, so the record of the afternoon is complete, not a handful of clips.
The people, and the in-between
The quiet bits between the milestones — family, the godparents, the little moments with Lorenzo — the frames you don’t think to ask for but return to most.
Photo and film work side by side as a single team — same day, same moments, told two ways. You’re never choosing between a photograph and a frame of film; you get both, of the moments that count.
The films, and the photographs
Three ways to relive Lorenzo’s christening — a short film to share, the full record to keep, and a gallery of photographs from the whole day. Here’s what each one is, and how we make it.
Highlight Film
A cinematic edit — five to eight minutes depending on your collection — the film you sit down and send to everyone. We shape it around the feel of the day and the music you choose: the morning, the moment at the font, the family gathered around Lorenzo, and the best of the reception, drawn together into one short, moving piece. It’s the one that gets watched again and again, and the easiest to pass on.
Documentary Film
The deepest record of the day, edited in order with the real sound of the day carried underneath. It’s built from the full ceremony edit, the reception formalities in full — the speeches and the cake cutting — and the dancing, where we choose the strongest moments across the night, including the song dedications to key family members.
The length is set by your collection. The two-hour edit opens at the ceremony and carries the formalities plus 45–50 minutes of the dancing. The three-hour edit adds a one-to-two-minute preparations montage set to music, then holds the same ceremony and formalities with up to 120 minutes of the dancing.
A full christening gallery
A photograph is its own way to relive the day. Alongside the films, our photographer covers the morning, the service and the reception, and you receive a full online gallery — every keeper from the day, hand-edited and ready to share, print and keep. It’s the record you’ll flick through most often, and the one that ends up framed at home.
