One full-Armenian celebration, captured the way you pictured it.
You found your way to us on Instagram — and from our first conversation, this felt less like a list of moments to tick off and more like a full-Armenian celebration on both sides, told with the kind of photography you’ve been holding out for: elegant and intentionally directed, with the real, in-between moments kept honest.
From the morning at Northbridge, where your two families come together, through the ceremony at the Armenian Apostolic Church in Chatswood, into the city for portraits as the light turns, and on to Miramare as the night takes over — our role is to hold all of it. So what remains is not only what happened, but how it felt.
The Shape of the Day
From two Armenian mornings to one full celebration.
Your day has a clear rhythm — two mornings unfolding apart, one ceremony at its centre, then the portraits and the celebration that carry it into the night. Reading that shape early is how we make sure the coverage moves with the day, rather than interrupting it.
Two Mornings
Hornsby & Northbridge
Your morning unfolds in two places at once — Alexander in Hornsby as his side gathers, and Olivia in Northbridge in the calm before the chaos. Mid-morning the two come together for the Harsani Chanaparh — the groom’s procession, or “wedding road” — his party arriving with music and dancing, the playful bargaining at the door, before you leave for the church together. A team on each side means neither morning is traded for the other.
The Ceremony
Armenian Apostolic Church, Chatswood
The ceremony carries real weight — the crowning, the blessings, and the moments that ask to be anticipated rather than simply recorded. We position quietly through the church, with the upper balcony giving us a second angle that holds the whole space from above.
The Light
The city, then Miramare
With an August sunset close to half past five, your city portraits fall in the last of the good light — exactly the directed, editorial frames you’re after. Then on to Miramare after dark, where the flash work you love comes into its own across the gardens and interiors. The fading light isn’t a compromise here; it’s what gives the night portraits their edge.
The Reception
Miramare Gardens
Pre-drinks open at six, and you’ve asked to be in them — that mingling time with family and friends before the formalities is where some of the most natural frames of the night come from. With around three hundred guests in the main glass room, your entrance and the first wave of dancing are the heartbeat of the evening, held from two angles at once.
What You Told Us Matters
The things that make this day yours.
Beyond the timeline and the logistics are the priorities you were clear about from our first conversation. These are what shape the way we cover the day — and the reason the collections are built the way they are.
01 · Your Photography
Editorial, with the real moments kept honest.
You were specific, and we love that — elegant, directed photography that looks worth every dollar, but never at the cost of the candid, in-between moments, especially through the morning. We guide gently where it helps and step back where it doesn’t, and we lean into the bolder, deeper grade and the flash you’re drawn to, rather than the bright, washed-out look that didn’t feel like you.
02 · Your Culture
A full-Armenian celebration, understood.
From the Harsani Chanaparh at the door to the crowning in church and the dancing that never really stops, this is a day we know by name, not just by sight — including how rare it’s become for couples here to keep the full groom’s procession. Our team has spent years on larger cultural weddings, and knows how the church, the traditions and the energy of a full day fit together from the inside.
03 · Your Story
Some moments reveal their value only with time.
The photos and films you reach for in the first year aren’t always the ones that matter most in twenty. One day these become a way to revisit the people gathered around you, to hear familiar voices again, and to show your own children where the family began. That’s why we hold the whole day with care — not only the highlights.
Our Approach
Two teams where it matters. Presence everywhere else.
The right coverage protects the feeling of the day, not just the record of it. Here’s how we shape ours around yours.
Coverage
Two teams, where it counts.
Your morning happens in two homes at once, the Harsani Chanaparh brings everyone together in one moving sequence, and a three-hundred-guest entrance can’t be held from a single spot. So two teams — a photographer and cinematographer each — cover both sides of the morning, converge for the procession and the church, and carry your entrance and the first dancing from two angles. Both teams stay through the formalities, then one team holds the floor to the end of the night.
Balance
And where we simplify.
Two angles matter most through the morning, the ceremony and the entrance. Once the night finds its rhythm, coverage can streamline without losing a thing — which is exactly how the collections below are built, so the second team is there for the moments that need it, and not for the sake of it.
Presence
Directed, never stiff.
You want it to look like the photography was worth every dollar — beautifully directed — without the staged, everyone-looking-away feeling. That’s how we work: we guide you into frames that look effortless, then step back and watch for the real moments at the edges. Considered when it counts, honest in between.
Process
The planning behind the calm.
What looks effortless on the day is built well before it: a detailed questionnaire a month out, a run sheet we finalise together, and a creative session with our studio manager Kristy — where we shape your photo style, the grade and the music. By the time we arrive, nothing is left to chance.
The Photoshoot
The city in the last light, then Miramare after dark.
You already know the look you’re after — mostly in the city, bold and editorial, with a few at Miramare. With sunset close to half past five, that gives us a natural two-act afternoon: the city while the light is still working for us, then Miramare once the dark sets in. Nothing here is a decision for today — just a sense of where our thinking is heading.
Act One
The City
The bulk of your portraits, shot in the back of the afternoon as the light turns warm and directional — made for the editorial frames you want. We’d build it around a couple of strong contrasts: the sandstone and laneways of the older city for texture and mood, and the open harbour edge for scale. We’ll land on the one or two that fit the day and the timing best.
Act Two
Miramare, after dark
By the time we reach Miramare the daylight’s gone — and that’s exactly when the flash work you love comes alive. A short, deliberate set across the gardens and interiors: bold, high-contrast frames that only happen after dark. Far from a compromise on an August evening, it’s the part that gives your night portraits their edge.
Optional · From the air
If you’d like it, the Harsani Chanaparh at Northbridge is made for the drone — the procession arriving on foot, the dancing at the door, the walk down to the house — alongside the balcony first-look you mentioned. From above, that arrival reads as the full-cast sequence it really is. Built into our recommended collection, and available to add to any.

Here’s the working shape of the day as it stands — we’ll refine every detail together in your questionnaire and run sheet closer to the time. With sunset around half past five, your city portraits catch the last of the light and Miramare carries the day into the night.

Looking Ahead
Thank you for letting us into your day.
Thank you for the time and the conversation, Olivia. From the morning at Northbridge to the last of the dancing at Miramare, this is clearly a day built on family, faith, and a celebration that belongs to both your families — and we’d be honoured to be the ones who hold it.
There’s no rush. Sit with everything, talk it over with Alexander, and let us know which direction feels right. If anything comes up in the meantime, just reach out — we’re glad to help. We’ll take care of the rest.
Our hope is simple: that years from now, these photographs and films help you remember not just what happened on the twenty-eighth of August, but exactly what it felt like to be surrounded by everyone you love.
