More than anything, this feels like a wedding built around people.
During our conversation, what stood out most wasn't a focus on trends, deliverables, or ticking boxes. It was the importance of family, memories, and creating a day that feels enjoyable from start to finish.
You spoke about wanting photography that feels natural rather than heavily posed, enough guidance to feel comfortable, but never so much that it takes you away from the experience of the day itself.
We also spent a lot of time talking about the flow of the day — from a Greek Orthodox ceremony in Liverpool, through to Retford Park and Bendooley Estate — and making sure there is enough time for portraits without sacrificing the chance to actually spend time with your guests.

The Morning
The day begins separately in Connells Point and Sylvania, surrounded by the people who know you best. These quieter moments often become some of the most meaningful — parents seeing you for the first time, final preparations, anticipation, and the atmosphere before everything begins.
The Ceremony
A Greek Orthodox ceremony carries its own rhythm and traditions. Rather than rushing from one event to the next, the day should allow space for the ceremony itself, family congratulations afterwards, and the moments that naturally unfold around them.
The Journey South
Moving from Liverpool to the Southern Highlands creates a natural transition in the day. The energy shifts, the pace slows down, and the focus moves from formalities to simply spending time together before arriving at the reception.
Retford Park & Bendooley
Retford Park offers a beautiful opportunity for portraits without feeling rushed, while Bendooley provides a second backdrop later in the day. Together they create variety without needing to spend hours away from your guests.
Chapter Five — The Celebration
One of the things we discussed was making sure you still get to enjoy cocktail hour. Rather than disappearing for photos all afternoon, the goal is to create enough portrait time to capture beautiful images while still arriving back to spend meaningful time with family and friends before the reception begins.
Coverage Approach
Two approaches to the same day.
One of the biggest questions we discussed was whether a second team is actually necessary. The reality is that both approaches work — the difference simply comes down to how much of the day you want documented.
Neither option is right or wrong. Both allow us to capture the ceremony, portraits and reception beautifully. The main difference is how the morning unfolds and how much simultaneous coverage happens throughout the day.

Our recommendation.
