At Cinemotive, we’re committed to providing you with the best possible experience when it comes to preserving your special moments.
That’s why all our photo clients receive their images via a personalised photo gallery. This gallery is designed with your convenience in mind, offering a user-friendly platform that makes it effortless to view, download, and share your cherished photos.
The best part? Your gallery remains accessible indefinitely, ensuring that your precious memories are readily available for years to come, or at least as long as we’re still in business.
Our Photo Editing Process: Standard vs. Complex Editing
Discover the difference between our standard and more complex photo editing services at Cinemotive. Elevate your images with our professional touch, whether you need simple enhancements or intricate transformations.
Standard Editing – included in all photo packages
Raw photos are exactly that—RAW. They require “cooking” or editing, which typically involves a two-stage process.
The first stage, known as standard editing, is included in all our photo packages. This involves applying a customized colour filter (preset) to the raw format, adjusting the image’s colour and exposure. For example, highlights (overly bright areas) are toned down, and shadows (mid-tones) are lifted to reveal more background detail.
Once the initial preset is applied, we perform limited professional image editing (where technically possible) on the final set of images uploaded to your gallery. These adjustments may include refining exposure, cropping, and rotating individual photos for optimal composition.
Additionally, we may apply light stray hair removal to a few select photos, remove a distracting background object in one or two key images (especially if you plan to print them as enlargements), and are happy to consider light facial blemish removal on up to 5–7 images if needed.
In summary, standard editing enhances every photo with a preset and fine-tuning, while additional touch-ups, like detailed retouching, are available upon request for an extra fee.
Complex Editing – additional service with a cost.
Photo touch-ups involve advanced enhancements beyond basic editing. These can include common requests such as spot or blemish removal, acne pitting correction, scar reduction or removal, extreme stray hair removal, eye enhancements (adjusting clarity, exposure, and saturation), and teeth whitening (through desaturation and exposure adjustments).
Additionally, touch-ups can extend to extensive background removals or body modifications, such as subtle reshaping or contouring. These specialized enhancements require detailed work and are available for an additional fee of $250.00 per hour.
The key difference between editing and touch-ups is that while every photo undergoes standard editing, touch-ups are customized enhancements requested by the customer and incur an extra charge.
